Dariya and Denis first met on Hinge — a very modern love story for the 21st century. Denis’ self-described “finance bro” title and Dariya’s ironic dislike of men somehow made them the perfect match. Their first date was on a random Thursday night at Trinket Bar in Melbourne, where conversation flowed easily over their shared love of international films, travel, and Catan (their favourite strategy board game). One date quickly turned into many, and soon they officially became girlfriend and boyfriend. Since then, they’ve built a life full of board game nights and dinner parties with friends. Denis knew Dariya was “the one” after surviving Mount Wellington hike during their first ever trip to Tasmania, while Dariya knew Denis was the one when he first met her parents — wearing a sharp suit and shiny new shoes (which, unfortunately, also gave him blisters). Next year, they can’t wait to bring all their family and friends together in Sutton Forest to celebrate their love story and begin the next chapter of their lives.
